When God says WAKE UP...

I haven't written in a good bit. I could make excuses, but there's no point. I just haven't. God has been pressing on my spirit to start writing again. I've been reading, meditating and marinating on God's word heavily over the past months. Now it's time to write what God has been putting on my heart.

I do believe there is a great awakening occurring in people. I had let myself fall asleep along the way - dealing with life, moving, moving again, work, finding new work, moving kids onto college and back from college and you know - just daily life things and routines... (These are all excuses) The reality is that the devil is a jerk and works really hard to distract us from God's plan. He is a schemer and somehow gets us to detour or misdirect. Fun fact, when you detour and are distracted from God, you are no longer in His plans. His plans will always be worth the effort of setting your mindset to NOT fall victim of the distraction techniques the devil uses. The point is, I let myself fall asleep and get distracted in regards to God and HIS plans for life day in and day out. When we seek God and follow HIS direction, things just always work out so much better. He's so much greater than our plans. God is always and forever will be the God of best case scenarios.
God stopped me in my tracks, shook me, and said WAKE UP! So, here I am. The world is doing what the world does and will continue to do with or without me worrying much about it. Focusing on God and His will for my life just seems more sensible. I have set my intentions on Him and have determined to never slumber again in this way. You see, we tend to do what we set our minds to so it's a good plan to set our minds to God's will daily. We were made for God's glory and to glorify God in all we do. My life is not my own, it truly belongs to God.

Ephesians 1:10 "And this is the plan: At the right time, He will bring everything together under the authority of Christ - everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work according to His plan."
So that's a brief catch up on where I am today. We'll see where He brings me tomorrow.
